In this episode, I talk to the magnificent Lara Allen about her late teenage years in Cincinnati and Minneapolis, her early experiences in San Francisco (from joining Caroliner to visiting the reclusive composer and instrument-builder Robert Heilbuth), and life after the Scene.
We also touch on other topics including record collecting (and collectors) as well as the connections between her time in San Francisco and her more recent work as a visual artist and performer of early 1900s American music.
